Blazer EV Preview

2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV | Dave Kehl Chevrolet | Mechanicsburg, OH

The upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV dazzles in every way, from its striking, athletic styling to its cutting-edge features to its impressive battery range. Whether you’re looking for something powerful, practical, high-tech, or high-class, the Blazer EV provides.

Striking design

The Blazer EV will turn heads wherever it goes thanks to its muscular, performance-inspired styling. The design of the extractor vents in its front fender, for instance, was drawn from Chevrolet’s motorsports aesthetic. It’s also equipped with full LED exterior lightning and, as the driver, you’ll be in for an extra treat with the available choreographed walk-up and walk-away lighting animations.

The cabin of the Blazer EV has also been designed to Chevy’s highest standards. It was also influenced by Chevy’s sport cars, which shows in features like the available flat-bottom steering wheel. Depending on what trim you go for, you’ll also enjoy sporty touches like contrast stitching and Adrenaline Red seating surfaces. Ambient lighting comes standard no matter what model you choose, and it offers available personalization function too.

The best of modern tech

The Blazer EV offers some of the best technology you’ll find in any SUV. Across the dashboard stretches a truly impressive 17.7-inch infotainment screen. On this screen, you can use features that you know and love like wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ to stay entertained, and there’s also a wireless charger by the front cup-holders so you’ll never run out of charge.

To keep your Blazer EV charged up on long journeys, you can use the MyChevy app to plan your route specifically through charging points. The Blazer EV also features Regen Braking technology to keep your battery charged for longer. And to save yourself from getting too tired on those long trips, you can use the available Super Cruise™ hands-free driver-assistance system to let your SUV help take the wheel.

Like its more conventional counterpart, the Blazer EV boasts the comprehensive Chevy Safety Assist safety suite, but it also adds on additional technologies like Reverse Automatic Braking and Advanced Park Assist. And to help you out even further, it offers a presence-based liftgate that can open based on the proximity of your key.

You won’t have to worry about your Blazer EV falling behind the times anytime soon. It uses Chevy’s Ultifi software platform, which enables frequent and seamless updates to keep your SUV up to date with the latest features as they come out.

Power and stamina

The Blazer EV’s driving range varies depending on the trim, but even at the low end it can take you 247 miles before you need to charge up again. At the high end, however, you’ll get 320 miles of range on a single charge, available on the sporty RS model. All models charge at a rate of 11.5 kW when at home or in public, and the RS and SS also boast fast-charging capability of up to 190 kW, which lets you restore 78 miles of range in about 10 minutes.

Thanks to GM’s Ultium battery platform, the Blazer EV offers three different drivetrain options — front-, rear-, and all-wheel drive are all available on different models. The Ultium platform also gives the Blazer EV a very low center of gravity. With that and its near-instant torque, it’s a thrill to drive, and its performance-specialized SS trim takes it to the next level. It packs the most power in the lineup with 557 horsepower and up to 648 lb-ft of torque.

The first Blazer EV models are expected to hit lots next summer, with the SS and 1LT trims arriving the following fall and early 2024 respectively. Keep an eye out for more details about this exciting new electric SUV, and make sure to come see it for yourself at Dave Kehl Chevrolet in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, when it arrives!
