The Chevy Silverado has the most advanced camera system you’ll find on a vehicle today. With the 2021 Silverado 1500 and Silverado HD, you can get up to 15 camera views that make maneuvering while towing and hauling, off-roading, and everyday driving easier and safer than ever. Offered on the Silverado 1500, Silverado 2500 HD, and Silverado 3500 HD, the 15-camera system is available to all kinds of hard-working Ohioans, whether you need a powerful work truck or a comfortable family vehicle.

Driving Views

There are six available driving views on the Silverado. One of these is the innovative transparent trailer mode, which provides a virtual see-through view of the trailer, letting you see directly behind your trailer. This is helpful for trailering, but it also makes the Silverado safer and more family-friendly.

In addition to a standard front camera view, the driving views include a Rear Trailer View that uses an accessory camera to capture video directly behind the trailer. Inside Trailer View also uses an accessory camera installed inside the trailer to keep an eye on your cargo. A Rear Camera Mirror is also available, as well as Pic-in-Pic, which combines Rear Trailer View with Rear side View for a more complete view.

Hitch Views

The Silverado also offers four available hitch views. Hitch View mode shows an overhead look at the hitch, making it easier to guide your truck and connect it to a trailer. Rear Top-Down View pulls back a little to show clearance between the truck and other objects, and Bed View is angled to give you a clear view of cargo in the bed.

The hitch view category includes Surround View as well. Surround View compiles images from the front, left, right, and rear of the Silverado to provide an overhead view of the entire truck.

Parking Views

Finally, there are five camera views designed for easy parking. One is Rear Camera View, which displays what’s behind the truck and even has guidelines to help you maneuver. A Front Side View, Front Top-Down View, and Bowl View all give you a broader view to make parking easier.

Another is Rear Side View, which shows a view straight down the sides of the truck so you can easily maneuver through tight spaces. Rear Side View can also activate when you turn on your turn signal, letting you change lanes more safely.
